Albuquerque Man Pleads No Contest in Gun Case Over Baby

He pointed a gun at his fiancée and their newborn. Now he's on probation, not behind bars. Hunter Apachito, a 22-year-old Albuquerque man, entered a no-contest plea in a case involving allegations that he pointed a gun at his fiancée and their one-month-old son. Under a deal, Apachita received a suspended prison sentence and will instead serve probation instead of time behind bars. The case arose from a January incident involving the couple's infant. Apachit was reportedly intoxicated when he took the infant from his fiancé's sister's apartment without their knowledge. His fiancee found Apachitt and their son at their own apartment. The agreement suspended his prison sentence, set probation at a year and a half.
