Albuquerque native, NMSU linebacker Tyler Martinez to enter transfer portal after injury-shortened season
The standout linebacker and Volcano Vista High School graduate is entering the transfer portal with one year of eligibility left. New Mexico State linebacker Tyler Martinez is entering the transfer portal following a short season that ended due to injury. The senior, considered one of the Aggies' best defensive players, has one year of eligibility remaining after redshirting this season. Martinez, who had no FBS offers out of high school and junior college, made 27 total tackles in four games this year before an ankle injury ended his season. The transfer portal opens on Jan. 2 and closes on Dec. 16.
