Ousama M. Rashed earned a PhD in Juris at the University of New Mexico's Law Department in 1990 and a degree in speech communication at the University of New Mexico's #39. Rashid, a former president of the New Mexico Criminal Lawyers Association, has been working for the board for more than 10 years. He was appointed by former Governor Richardson and New Mexico Senators to be members of the New Mexico Senate Special Committee on Ignition Interlock. In 2005, Rashid was honored as a year's co-op lawyer for his attempt to seize and confiscate the vehicles of his first DWI criminal to the city of Albuquerque. Rashid, a local prosecutor in New Mexico, handled up to 100 DWI/DUI and DUI lawsuits each week. he moved to the felon and dealt with a wide range of cases
